Parking?

I know that DVC members get to park for free and all others have to pay. We just booked trip through Orbitz and it's a 2 bedroom DVC villa. We are DVC members but didn't book through DVC and paying cash not using our membership. Would we still have to pay for parking?

I believe you would have to pay for parking in this case.

It's my understanding that you swipe your room key in the parking garage to exit, and then its charged back to your room. If you're staying on points, the charges are not applied. So I believe you'd be charged as well.

Disney Vacation Club Members staying on a points reservation can enjoy convenient self-parking at no daily charge for up to 2 vehicles.

Since you're not staying on a points reservation, you will have to pay for parking.

You are allowed to use your member perks. The perk in this case is members staying on a points reservation get complimentary parking.

Yes, as long as you are staying on a points reservation.
