Parking ?

Last year we drove my moms car to WDW (she was there) she has a handicap tag, and received free valet parking. I drove. This year we are taking my car, and mom ordered a temporary placard. Will she still receive free valet parking? I want to make sure i budget and plan accordingly.

Also, last year she had some issues standing and waiting for bus at end of day. We are considering driving ourselves to MK and Epcot this year. However is the walk from the handicapped parking spaces much further than the walk from the buses?

What is average wait time to get out of Parking lot after the fireworks?

When staying on property we can park at the parks for free correct? Do we just show them our KTTW card at the gate?

You will get a parking pass at your resort. That's what you use to park at the parks.

As for free valet parking in the parking lots with a handicap sticker I've never heard of that. We have a handicap sticker too and APs. Maybe at some resorts along with whatever the dining discount card is now.

Yes- Vehicles with handicap placards get free valet parking at Disney resorts (you should still tip though).

My wife has a handicap placard which came in handy during our trip.

Walking to the buses at MK are much shorter walking than the walk from either the monorail or ferry to the handicap parking. They usually have wheel chairs next to the the handicap parking area to use.

Epcot, it's a wash.

At DHS you can park directly across the street from the entrance. Shorter than a walk from the buses. AK, buses are probably closer. But the walk is not very far.

Other than MK, your best bet to avoid a long wait for the buses is to use the handicap parking.

I had foot surgery the month before our Disney trip so I had a handicapped placard. But we didn't park in the handicapped spots at Epcot, we parked in the spots marked reserved which are right next to the tram lane. There was no way I could walk from the handicapped spots into the park. We did ask the CM directing parking explaining the situation to them. We didn't go to the other parks though as we were there for Flower and Garden at Epcot. We also did this when hubby hd a handicapped placard after his hip replacements about 6 years ago.
