If we choose to drive to the parks, can someone tell me about it.... What is the cost? Is it close? Is it easy or a pain?

Thanks

$12 is the cost to park... It is real easy as you will have a lot of people telling you where to drive and where to park! It is a very organized operation! :thumbsup2

The parking fee is $12 per day, with in and out privileges. There are several parking lots, the largest being the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure, once there, you can ride the tram (no additional charge) into DTD and into Disneyland and DCA, and back.

The parking is $14 per day now? wow, not that long ago it was $12 per day, as it was just last month.

You are forgiven! but don't let it happen again, or else! ;) j/k

Anyway, it is still $12.00 per day, for I checked just moments ago, via Disneyland's website,
here you will find more information regarding parking.

I've always found the Mickey and Friends lot to be pretty easy. The only time it tends to take a little longer is in the morning at park opening. It's still easy it just sometimes takes a bit longer.

If your hotel is within easy walking distance, I'd always recommend that because it's cheaper and can be quicker at park opening. But that said, it's not usually a huge difference if you drive. We've done it many times. And I actually enjoy the nice little tram ride.

We always drive and park. This last summer at opening time the tram from the parking to the park was not crowded at all. We got right on. In the evening, I think we may have had to wait one night for the next tram. Not long at all, and most times, no wait.

Parking for us this summer was very easy. They also have giant signs up on the roads leading to the park directing you where to go. This allows us to stay at hotels 1-3 miles away without having to worry about walking distance.

AAA 3 day or more park hoppers include free parking.

With AAA's 2 day p/h it also includes free parking, not that it did me any good, for I was not interested in driving to Anaheim, maybe one day, nor did I have in my plan, to rent a car. That is o.k. though, for the ART system worked out very well for me.

It is good to know, that parking has been a very good experience for you, Pink Budgie.

I am wondering how do you find the drive down there to be? I have traveled to Anaheim before by car, however, I was not driving. I was good with the distance, for we stopped a number of times, so my butt would not go to sleep ;) he he, seriously! he he! that definitely helped me with not feeling like I was going to get cabin fever, I suppose in this case it would be car fever? that just so does not sound good! he he! ;) Anyway, just wondering how you and other Nor Cal people like the drive to Southern California.
