Are you allowed to park @ the Boardwalk and take the boat to International Gateway? Is there a time limit on how long your car may be parked there?

We have driven to the Poly and had a meal there, but they gave us a 3 hour pass to hang from the mirror so we couldn't take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. We had to park @ the TTC after the meal.

You could do it, but you aren't supposed to.

you're only supposed to be park there for 3 hours while you're having a meal. It would be wrong to stay there all day. Unless you're staying there.

If your just going to any WDW Deluxe Resort that is very close to the parks for a meal that's fine. If you plan on going to a theme park after your are not supost to do that. By doing that your just taking up a parking space from a guest staying at the Resort you have just dinned at which is unfair to them since these Resorts are very expensive. A lot of people do this at the Contemporary & as a guest who stays there, it's very frustrating some nights when it takes forever to get a parking spot.

People who are parking at the Boardwalk and not staying at the hotel have to park across the street now. It is a longer walk this way. This probably happened due to people trying to park there and then going to the parks nearby.

Parking for Epcot is provided at the Epcot parking lot. The parking lots at the Epcot resorts are for the exclusive use of resort guests and patrons of the hotel's services.

There is a day lot at The Boardwalk that people can park in(I've done that and have never been given a 3-hour pass at The Boardwalk). My suggestion is to valet park for the day if you want to go to Epcot or MGM.(I have the DDE card,so it is free to me) To me it is worth the tip to not have to park at MGM or Epcot.

We just came back from a week at BWV and I have a thread about this on the Transportation Board. They are tougher on this right now than I've ever seen them. They checked not only our paper for the windshield, but our keys every time we went in. Also there were people in the lots themselves checking for keys to make sure you stayed at the Boardwalk.

I don't know how strict they are being time wise in the back parking lot or the parking lot across the street but I know they were really checking everyone that was coming in.

Is this allowed? I thought you couldn't valet park for more than 3 hours either, as a non-resort guest. My sister wanted to valet park at the Contemporary last week to go to MNSSHP and I told her no, we couldn't do it.

The boardwalk is an attraction. We park there alot when staying off site.

We cant help it if you can findyourself someplace else.

Do it and you will have no worries.

You can valet park for as long as you want. There is no time limit when you do this. I parked(valet) at Contemporary for Night of Joy because I didn't want to deal with the MK parking lot at 12:30 in the morning. I suggest that if you are off-site when you go to these hard ticket events, valet at CR so you have assurance of getting out of there at a reasonable time.

Eventhough they say you are allowed to park as along as you want in a valet parking spot, it's still the wrong thing to do no matter if your parking there for MNSSHP or MVVCP. There are some nights at the Contemporary because of conventions & major holidays where they do not allow you to park, unless you are a paying guest or have an ADR. They call it going into lockdown mode. So if you went to the Contemporary on a night they are in lockdown mode & your reason is you want to valet park for the Magic Kingdom, you will be asked to turn around & leave. Even if you wanted to valet park & not take up a regular parking spot. The question I am wondering is what do you tell the guards you are going to the Contemporary for if you plan to valet park? You publicly stated you go there just to valet park & not to eat at Chef Mickey's, Concourse Steakhouse & the California Grill, plus you are not a guest paying to stay there. So I am just curious what you tell them at the security gate why you are at the Contemporary?

When I got to the gate,I told them I had an ADR at Concourse Steakhouse(I did). I parked and went to the restaurant and canceled it. The guard shack didn't look at any list of ADR's to see if I did have one. I think the only day in the year that security actually looks on a list of ADRs is New Year's Eve,because that's what they did when I parked at The Poly to have breakfast at Ohanas.(I did have breakfast that day). I think this year I'll park at CR in your honor, sweetie!!! :)

1st off all I can not believe no one has flamed you for making an ADR just to park at the Contemporary which made it easy for you to go to the Magic Kingdom, so I think I will do that. Don't you think some family could have used it, instead of having you make a fake one? I know you said you cancelled it, but what were the chances of another family being able to grab it? Also everyone else who goes to Magic Kingdom for MNSSHP, MVVCP or any other day of the year that are not WDW Resort guests should park their car at the TTC, so why are you any more special that you should park at the Contemporary because it's easier when leaving. It's someone like you that must not think the rules apply to them & what's worse is you told everyone who read this post to park at the Contemporary & not the TTC because it's easier. So in closing I would seriously hope that one day you have your car towed because what you do is wrong & it sets a bad example for your kids.

I'm sorry, but I think it's just wrong. Your not a guest at the resort, you're not doing anything with the resort(even if you have an ADR that you cancel after you get there), You shouldn't be allowed to park there. I think they should tow cars that don't belong there. You're taking a spot from a guest who is at the resort. If you are doing something at the resort, then before you go to the parks move your car.

You must be more special than everyone else! It is obvious in your attitude. No, it is wrong to park at the CR unless you are staying there. If you have a dining ressie than park while you eat, then get the heck out so people who paid the expensive rates to stay there have parking.

Won't even go into the fake dining ressie just to get past security, then cancel it. Nice example. I'm sure your family really looks up to you.

It is because of people like you that Disney is forced to always change how they do things and make new rules to prevent people from taking advantage. Why don't you just go to Universal, no pixie dust required over there. Maybe if your car gets towed and you have to pay an expensive towing charge you'll get the idea. Even better, how long will it take you to get it back. Much longer than it would've taken you to take the regular transportation back to the TTC where everyone else parks.

Oh, I forgot! You're SPECIAL! My apologies.

You should be flamed!!! Need more examples! More posts from mickaholic4077

I use a toll-free number to call Disney(1-877-939-3732). When I am asked for my phone number,I give them a fake one. They don't need to know my phone number,IMHO.(When making a resort ressie, that's a different story). Also,I have also been told by a CM to make a ressie for 3 if I want to have a better chance at an ADR at a time I want.,so I do that.

If you valet park at the MK or Epcot resorts, you can stay there however long you want. The 7 dollar fee is,IMHO, worth not having to deal with the parking lot. Also,if you have the DDE card,it is free to park at the resorts. Additionally,if you have a handicapped sticker, parking is free. To me it is worth the 2 dollar tip not to have to park in the MK lot.I always make an ADR or have a big Disney bag in the car with me and say I'm returning an item when I park at The POly(mainly). Yes,I cancel the ADR as soon as I get to the restaurant(Kona),because it is right by the monorail station

I'm telling the truth, sweetheart. As long as the parking for MK is horrendous,I will valet at The Poly(my favorite MK resort) and get to the MK that way. Why do I get the feeling that YOU'RE the one trying to cause trouble with your snobby, elitist attitudes by starting threads like this one??

And another thing. From what I can deduce, you're fairly young, about 20,21,right? I'd venture to guess then that you don't pay a penny for your WDW holidays, that your parents do. That makes me wonder how many times you'd be staying at The Contemporary if you had to pay out of your own pocket?

I'm happy that I have the money to go as often as I do too. Your OP here and posts in other topics make you out to be an elite snob, and it just makes me wonder what your attitude would be if you had to pay for your vacations yourself, like I do
