Parking while you eat?

Having circled the BW Resort parking lot many times, looking for a spot, when we were staying there, I do wish that Disney would charge for parking if not a registered guest there. The restaurants could comp several hours of parking for those with ADRs.

I know the Boardwalk was originally promoted as an after-hours dining and entertainment destination, but the parking lot is too small, especially now that the Skyliner turning station took a big chunk of it. It’s not practical, and guests who book breakfast ADRs so they can leave their cars all day are simply being inconsiderate.
Yes it is certainly not practical as it’s not like they are saving any steps parking at Boardwalk and leaving their car there.

Agree that the lot is probably too small. However, the turning station footprint is minimal and not the cause of the issue.

If you happen to be staying at another Disney resort and have paid for valet parking, note that valet charges are for the DAY, not for each resort...so you can park at any other resort with valet parking and don't get charged again (other than tipping the valet of course). Valet parking charges are obscene at Disney resorts, but if you've already splurged for it, might as well use it. I will often use valet once or twice during my stays, on days I know I'll be driving to other resorts, or if self-parking is just impossibly crowded. If I return to my resort and can find a decent spot, I'll grab it. I'll be at Boardwalk this Wednesday, and will be heading over to Gran Destino for dinner with friends, then to another resort after, so I'm checking in with the valet for that first day at least.

I think the motivation might be saving the cost of parking at Epcot or DHS or the hike across the lot to their car, or they want to enter and leave Epcot via the IG instead of the main entrance.
