Hi, we are staying in a two bedroom villa at the Boardwalk in January and are considering renting a car. Where we are traveling with toddlers we think it may be easier to have the convenience of a car. Does anyone know if there is a charge to park at the resort or at the parks? We may need two parking spots as we think a minivan will be to small for 6 people, strollers and luggage! I know when we stayed off site we hade to pay but I not sure about onsite guest. Thank you

Since you are staying on-site, there is no charge for parking at the parks. At check-in you should get a "permit" to put on the dashboard of your car that designates your resort and the dates of your stay.

At the resort, you can pay to valet park your car (I believe this is $6 a day). If you self-park, there is no charge.

Thanks for the answer. We're going to rent a car and stay on-site, too. The information is very useful.

Another question - Do we need to pay for the parking at other on-site resorts that we are not staying at?

Thanks,

Ling

If you self-park at any resort you visit, you do not have to pay to park. Self-parking is always free. You will need to show a picture ID at the security gate at the resort. Normally, self-parking at other resorts is limited to 3 hours; some resorts give you a card/ticket to put on your dashboard. I've heard reports of cars being towed away if they exceed this limit.

If you valet park at the resort you are staying at (BoardWalk), you can valet park at NO CHARGE at any other resort. Simply show them your receipt/ticket from the BW valet.

If you self-park at BW and then choose to valet park at another resort, you will have to pay $6. (The $6 valet parking fee does not include a gratuity/tip for the individual(s) who park/retrieve your car.)

Unless you valet park, all your parking @ WDW is free if you stay onsite.

Thank you for all the information. We are planning to do a Character meal at 1900 park fair so your info on parking at the other resorts is great help. I'm still wondering if we will have to pay because we have two cars.
