I see that you can valet park for 2 hours if you are going to eat at one of the sit downs, can you also valet park for the whole day. If so, what is the cost.

Also, I see there is Preferred Parking. How much is this and is it worth it.

Thanks for your help.

Cris

I think the only restaurant that validates Valet is Emeril's. Yes you can valet for the whole day. I believe the cost is around $16.00. Preferred Parking is $3.00 more than regular parking. I personally do not think it is worth it.

From the USF site:
Garage Parking:

Universal Orlando's state-of-the-art enclosed parking garage is complete with protection from the elements, a 200-camera security system, moving sidewalks, escalators and elevators, on-site wheelchair rental and an on-site kennel. Vehicles can leave the garage and return the same day by stopping at the toll plaza upon re-entry and presenting their parking ticket.

Daily parking fees per vehicle:
Cars, vans and motorcycles: $8.00*
RVs and trailers: $10.00*
*Prices are subject to change without notice.

Valet Parking:

Valet parking is available for cars and vans at a charge of $16.00*. Follow the signs to valet parking.

*Prices are subject to change without notice

Perferred is $4.00 more. The total is $12.00 and $8.00 for regular.

Has anyone done valet parking? How close does it get you to the park? It's been a while since we have been to Universal, but I remember walking a REALLY long way from the parking lot.

Valet will put you just outside the entrance to CityWalk (near the movie theater). You will still need to take 1 of the moving sidewalks or walk to the entrance and walk to either park. It is better than being on one of the roof tops all the way at the end rows.

How does preferred parking compare to the regular parking? How much closer/better is Preferred?

Thanks,

Cris

Preferred parking puts you on the third level of the garages near the cross-over to the rotunda area and you still need to go down 3 moving sidewalks (1 on the crossover and 2 to get to the Welcome sign) and walk through CityWalk to the park entrances.

Gosh, sounds like I may "prefer" to just park in regular self parking.

Are there any maps out there that show the parking lot with the parks?

The perferred parking takes up the entire 3rd level except for the first section which is disabled parking. You may land up at the end of the third level which you would have to take 3 of the moving sidewalks before you get to the rotunda. Sometimes regular parking is better but it is always the luck of the draw.
