DH and I have been to the World several times and have just booked our first trip to the Fort with our new fifth wheel :yay:. We prefer to drive to the parks each day and skip the Bus. Our tow vehicle is a F350 DRW and I am concerned about fitting into the parking spots at the parks. Anyone know if they have a designated area for larger vehicles? Also, will there be room at a premium site to park the tow vehicle and another vehicle as others may be joining us?

Will the others be guests? Since people not staying at fw may not be allowed to drive inside the resort.

1) The Park parking CM's will direct you.
2) You may, or may not, have to park at the far end of the row(s).
3) My guess, is you would be pushed to the end of the row.

4) With a Premium Site, you should have enough space for the tow vehicle.
5) However, the rule is only one vehicle (other than the RV) parked per site.
6) By rights, the guard shack "shouldn't" allow the other non-FW guest to drive to your site.

I also have a F350, dually, crewcab, long bed. I normally only drive to AK, but I do fit in the spots. As usual, I have to back in to a spot, but that's no different than Wal Mart, work or anywhere else the thing goes.

Yes I hedged my response due to a thread I posted on last week or so where someone not staying at FW was allowed to drive their car around to see Halloween Decorations. Something I thought was not allowed. I believe even FW guests are asked limit their driving in the resort.

Thanks for the info. Do they provide space for additional vehicles at perhaps an overflow lot?

Yes, overflow should have room. Many people take their tow vehicles out to the overflow lot for the stay to free up room at the site.

1) For the most part, yes.
2) If there is room left in the Overflow ("Main") Lot, you can park the tow vehicle there.
3) NOTE: Only during holiday periods in the Overflow Lot ever totally full or blocked off.
. . . during Christmas Week, I have seen "No Parking" or "Lot Full" signs.

Well, I am that person who said they drove around the Fort at Halloween! LOL! WE DID BUT... not at Halloween! I went back and corrected my mistake, and it was NOT to look at Halloween Decorations but to look at the campsites. We actually took a boat over Halloween. I guess we are just special guest at the fort even when we don't stay! LOL! I guess they remembered us! LOL!
