Ok...just some silly questions. I am the kind of person that I like to plan every detail of my vacations, and I am getting kind ansy because we are staying off site for the first time. We have always stayed onsite and let Disney take care of all the details, but we really needed a suite, so we are staying at the Holiday Inn Maingate East in a Kidsuite (I am looking foreward to this). Anyway, I have never driven to disney, and after reading other posts on this board and other boards, we have decided to skip the shuttle and drive. How hard is it to find the parking lots, how far a walk is it from the lots (we plan on getting there early) to the parks. We are going to be going to the Magic Kingdom one day next week and MGM another (not sure which days yet).

Second question...I have a 2 year old and a 4 year old, and we do not plan on "hopping," so we just want plain, get-us-in-the-gate kind of tickets. Can I get these at AAA so I can use the AAA parking lot?

Thanks....

The parks are very easy to get to. If I remember correctly, Holiday Inn MG E. is on one of the main roads into WDW. Just follow the signs to MK or MGM and you will be fine. Once you park, at MGM you will be able to see the park entrance. If you are not within walking distance, a Disney parking tram will pick you up a short distance from your car. At MK, unless you are in the Minnie lot, you will probably take a tram (there are directional signs in the Minnie lot for people walking to the TTC).

In my opinion, if you aren't park hopping you really
don't need the AAA parking passes. I think their real
value is when you go to a park later in the day, the AAA
passes will give you closer parking. If you go to a specific
park early then you should get a decent parking location
without the passes.
