We are to get the free parking at the Mickey and friends structure with our aaa purchased tickets. My question is this, If we are directed to a different lot early in the morning will they honor it at the other lot or are we simply out of luck? Is there a certain lane we need to be in to insure that we get the mickey structure? Will they give you a receipt so that you can get back into the lot if you choose to leave mid day? Thanks for any info.

I would think that it's very unlikely that you'll be directed to a different lot. The Mickey & Friends structure is purported to be the largest parking structure in the world. Your parking receipt is good for the whole day, so you can come and go when you want.

One thing that I note many people DON'T do - and I highly recommend doing it - is by all means take your parking receipt with you when you leave your car. Nowhere on it does it say it has to be left on the dash. In fact your receipt very conveniently lists all the various letters, numbers, and names you could possibly find in the parkage - you just grab a pen and circle the particular combination you're parked at, stick it in your pocket or wallet, and then it's easy to locate your car when you return. I can't tell you how many people I've heard/seen lamenting about not remembering where the car was parked, and wandering for a long time searching.

Thank you for the prompt reply. So I'll get a receipt even thought it's free parking? Thanks for the advice on marking your ticket.

I'm assuming they'll give you a receipt even though you're parking free. For one thing they have to know how many cars are in the parkade for the day, and the only way to accurately count that is by having the computer issue the receipts. My guess is that for amount paid it will have something about AAA on it.

Largest in the US. Second largest in the world, I think.

That's correct. From what I've been told it was the largest in the world, but then a larger one (by some small number of spaces) was built at the Tokyo Resort.

Also a good assumption... everyone gets a receipt... paying guests, annual passholders with parking on their pass, cast members "playing" for the day. So, you will probably get one too, and you'll be able to show this or the parking voucher (if they don't take it) to get back in if you leave for whatever reason.

And please, take your parking ticket with you and be sure to mark your location on it... it is the second largest structure in the world... and at the end of a long day those characters and letters and numbers can run-together.

Have a great trip!

You parking "reciept" that I have always gotten with my free AAA & AP parking is really just a card stock that will allow you you mark down where you are parked. This is GREAT and very usefully after a long day at the park.

Is it correct that you only get free AAA parking if you buy an AAA package? My local AAA (Indiana) said they don't sell DL passes and advised me to check with the So Cal chapter. They, too, said they didn't sell passes. Any ideas? Thanks.

ALL passes sold through AAA include the free parking. No need for a package.

Try a Northern California Office. They sell them, I should know i have bought several over the years.

You must not be in southern Indiana? If you were you would be in the same chapter of aaa that we are. Missouri. Try this number which might help. 1-800-222-7623 (ext. 7707) or visit any full service AAA office.

I was told by a local Orange County AAA chapter that they did not sell them but the Anaheim AAA office did.

Thanks for all the good suggestions. I contacted my local AAA (Indianapolis area) and they told me they did not sell them (only WDW passes) and sent me a link to the SoCal chapter, who responded that they did not sell passes. I'll try the other chapters that all of you have suggested. Thanks!
