Parking question

I plan on driving straight to a park from TPA before checking into ASMu. Does anyone with experience with this think that I'll be able to park without paying the 22 dollars or if I do need to pay for that, is there a chance I will get a refund after I check in later that same day?

Do you have a Magic Band? It is possible your parking privileges will show up on that.

I've never stayed onsite before and haven't done online check in for any hotel before - so online check in is the same as being there and I won't need to show up till the room is ready? I think because I have heard bad things about people not being notified that their rooms are ready that I thought that tthere might be hiccups with doing things remotely. I do have a magic band. Thanks for the info

I don't know if I'd consider not being notified your room is ready as "bad." Annoying, sure.

Not being notified usually means the room is not yet ready. There's no reason to not do online check in. If you do have to pay just keep the receipt and you should get a refund.

It’s not *bad* to not be notified. It just is what it is. I’ve still not received a room ready text based on online checkin, and I thought I had figured out the issue for our recent trip but nope.

But I do online checkin anyway because there’s no reason not to. Let’s them know when I’ll be there (though for those taking dme Disney pretty much knows that), etc.

The band should show that you’re an onsite guest and give you free parking.

Just know that leaving luggage in the car isn’t the most secure solution, and if you have anything that might melt, having it in the car all day might be bad. I’d rather take a little time to go to the resort and leave bags with luggage services then head on over to the park.
