Parking question...

We are soon to be DVC members (deposit down, waiting to close) and looking through the "portable perks" guide january-june 09 I could not find anything about free parking at the parks. Is this a benefit, or do "DVC members" still have to pay the 12 bucks a day?? Thanks Alex (semi DVC owner)

There is no DVC perk for Free parking at the Theme Parks - but it is Free for all WDW resort guests - including DVC resorts. Valet parking is free for DVC members at DVC resorts by showing their blue membership card, but that is not for going to the Theme Parks. All WDW resort guests will get a parking pass for the dash of your car for parking at the Theme Parks.

As a DVC member, you also get complimentary valet parking if you're staying on points.

You'll need your parking pass or an AP for the free parking.

Just showing the resort parking pass will be good enough. When we go through the gates I don't even roll the window down, I just hold it up to the window and they wave you pass. I'm not trying to be a snob or anything to them, it's just when we go it is either cold or hot so I want to keep the cool or the heat in the car, lol. And HOME. Congrats!!! Doing the Happy Dance for you as I did for when we became DVC members.
