If I want to come and buy my tickets at the gate the night before I go to the park, where can I park my car and not be charged?

We are going for one day next week. We will not be staying within walking distance. I want to come the night before and buy tickets so we don't have to worry about it in the morning. That will be our only task for the evening, so I don't want to pay to park in one of the parking structures.

Is there parking in Downtown Disney? If so, do you need validation for that?

Also, how late are the ticket booths open?

TIA! :cheer2:

You have 2 choices for parking. The first 3 hours at Downtown Disney are free. Or there is a small 15 minute lot on Harbor Blvd. Each would be about the same distance to the ticket booths, but I think the Harbor lot would be a little closer.

I don't know how long the ticket booths are open though. Why are you buying at the gate? Why not buy online and get a discount? You can choose the print at home option where you print a voucher then go straight to the gates. They'll exchange your print out for a ticket.

We are buying one park/one day tickets and there are no online discounts for those. I don't want to lose any time exchanging vouchers for tickets. I want my tickets in my hands prior to the park opening so we take advantage of the limited time we have in the park.

Thanks for your response.

Is there a sign for the parking lot on Harbor? Is it obvious?

You don't have to exchange the tickets if you buy them off the Disneyland website. You print off the email ticket and you bring it to the turnstiles, they scan your ticket and give you an actual DL ticket like everyone else has. No wasted time at all and then you don't have to worry about trying to pick up tickets the night before!

I just looked online. You can't buy one day/one park tickets online. You have to get them at the gate.

Thanks for the clarification about the email ticket. Good to know in the future that it doesn't take any extra time. :thumbsup2

I have no idea where you are coming from, but if you happen to be driving from the north, you can stop off at the University of Southern California ticket office and get a 1-day, 2-park ticket for $73 (only $4 more than 1-day/1-park). They also have a small discount on one-day tickets (not much, like $3, I think).

You don't need to show USC ID and they give you the actual ticket, not a voucher.

Where is the USC ticket office?

ANy other way to get a discount on a one day/two park ticket?

Centre of USC Campus in the southern part of downtown Los Angeles in the South Figueroa Corridor; exit Exposition on the Harbor Freeway.

Most local universities offer discount tickets to theme parks; it doesn't hurt to call around and see what they have. Some require university ID, some don't. While I personally have never needed to show ID to get tickets at USC, I would nonetheless call ahead to confirm this is their policy.

If I remember correctly, there is a small sign. But the lot is easy to find. If you are coming from I5, take Harbor exit towards DL. You'll pass the cast member entrance and then go through a stop light that is the pedestrian entrance and also where the shuttles enter. You'll see a small parking lot on your right. The entrance is at the far end of the parking lot.
