Hi All,

I read on mousesavers that DVC members receive free valet parking at BW, BC and WL.

Does that include us? We are using a family members points. :sunny:

Thanks for your help!

Sorry it is only members!
Never heard of it being overlooked either
sometimes you can get the food discounts
Friends of mine used my points and has no probkem in most places
But you are not suppose to...........

Thanks, Anthony.

We have AP's, so the discounts I think are comparable. We are also healthy, so parking the car is not an issue at all.

Any advice for a first timer? :sunny:

Do you have to be staying at one of the resorts to get the free parking? We will be at WDW in December, and we should be DVC members by then (on waitlist now), but we won't be staying at a Disney property then. We don't need to use valet parking, but will we still be able to take advantage of the free parking?

You either have to have an Annual Pass or be staying at a WDW resort to get free parking at the parks. To get free valet parking at BCV, BVW or VWL, you must be staying at a DVC resort. How they will know that you are entitled to free valet parking is that "DVC Member" will be prinited on your parking pass.

Do you mean free parking at the theme parks? That is only for WDW resort guests staying on property. It is not a DVC perk, so staying off property you will not get free parking. The DVC resorts are considered on property so when staying at a DVC resort, or any other WDW hotel, you get the free theme park parking.

The valet parking being discussed is the valet parking for the resorts. You can use that by using your blue Membership card. The free self-park resort parking is open to anyone who has business at the resort such as being a guest, going there for dinner, etc.

When staying off property, perks such as free theme park parking, pool hopping, etc. are not applicable to your membership.

To get free valet at BC, BW or WL, you don't have to be staying at a DVC resort, it's available to any member. You just show your blue member card.

From the member website:

"Valet Parking at the Walt Disney World Resort

Valet parking is complimentary at Disney's BoardWalk Resort, Disney's Wilderness Lodge, and Disney's Beach Club Resort. Just show your Disney Vacation Club Member ID Card. Complimentary valet parking is not available at other valet parking operations or for Theme Park access.

You'll be charged the daily fee of $7.00 for this service at any other valet parking operation at the Walt Disney World Resort. Once you've paid for the valet service, you'll receive unlimited valet parking for the remainder of the day. Whether or not you are charged to valet park, gratuities are still appropriate. There will be no charge for Guests with disabilities who have the proper permits. "

I thought for sure, one had to be staying at a DVC resort to get free valet parking, but obviously I am wrong. Sorry for any mis information.
We are eligible for DVC, AP, FL resident and DDE discounts, so sometimes I get them mixed up.
Again sorry for any confusion. Since DebbieB quoted from the DVC member website--it has to be the correct information.
