We recently moved to Southern New Jersey and are flying out of PHL for a vacation in August. When I checked the parking rates to park at the airport I just about choked. Is there any PHL flyers who can recommend an offsite parking area? Thanks in advance for any help you can give.:flower3:

We just returned yesterday from a great 8 day trip...

Parking at PHL is both insane and expensive... I took a tip from a Dis'er and used Winner Airport Parking. They are unique in the aspect that you drive to their facility, their driver takes you in YOUR CAR to your terminal, and then returns to the lot. Upon returning, you call them and they will bring YOUR CAR back to the airport to pick you up, at which time you can either return with them to their facility to pay your bill, or for an extra $11, you can leave right from the airport...

We chose to return to the facility to pay the bill. Using the coupon from their website we were able to get a decent discount. Our total for 8 days, with taxes and surcharges, came out to $66. We also tipped the driver $5 each way. I think this is probably the most affordable and convenient service I've found so far... and I'll definitally be using them in the future...

Hope this helps... winnerairportparking.com

Thanks for the tip! I am very interested in this. Was there any issues that you experienced? My husband is concerned about giving someone the keys to our car and letting them drive away. I think it sounds very convenient.

When we fly out of Philly we use preflight parking. It is off of enterprise avenue. The deal is that you park your own car inside or outside your choice. They drive around the parking lot picking up passengers and when they pick you up they take you to your car. We have used them a couple of times and it has worked out great. I like parking my own car and keeping the keys with me. You can get discounts online.

I will admit, I was a little nervous putting our vehicle in the hands of a stranger, but after getting so many positive recommendations from fellow Dis'ers, I decided to go for it. They are very professional, also they take pictures of your car before departure and note mileage. I believe they are a very reputable company and will not hesitate to use them in the future. Not to mention the convenience of not having to transfer bags to a shuttle and of course the affordable rates that they offer. They arrived at our terminal within 15 minutes of our phone call and when we got back to their facility, the check out was fast and hassle free. They also have a frequent customer program where I believe after 5 visits, you receive 5 days of free parking... No problems whatsoever..

Another vote for Pre-Flight ... they have coupons online, you can park in (more expensive) or out, you can even get oil changes & such while the car is there. Their shuttles are quick, frequent, friendly.... :thumbsup2 Make a reservation in advance though... you ypically you won't need a one but once, while rushing for a flight to Vegas, the lot was full & we had to wait in line.. one car out before another could enter.. it was nerve racking! We ALWAYS make the reservation now!

Thanks for everyone's input. I should have done a search and checked for other threads regarding this subject. I just didn't realize that some many Diser's were in this area and that airport parking at PHL was such a topic of discussion. Thanks to everyone for their patience and help.

I think we are going to go with Winner. As you can see below in my signature we have an infant and I would like to avoid the shuttle hassle with an infant. I don't want to start out a Disney Vacation swearing at my husband. I think that would be very UNDisneylike :rotfl2: Not very good Karma.

I've used Winner for years. Their drivers are great! :thumbsup2 I've never had an issue with them. I always pay the extra $11 to be able to leave right from the airport. I highly recommend them.

My sister and her husband use Winner all the time and love them. My husband and I generally use a towncar service. But for my trip in June I am seriously considering using Winner myself. Since there will be 5 of use we need a van instead of a towncar and the cost is ridiculous.

I have used Winner several times as well. I was leary about letting someone else drive my car, but I have used them at least 8 times and have never had a problem. They photograph your car before you leave the lot to go to the airport, just in case.
They also have a shuttle van if your car won't accommodate your party and the driver.
I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes after I call them for the pickup at the airport.

We tried Sun Park the first time we decided not to park at the airport and had to wait 45 minutes for a shuttle with enough room for 4 of us when we arrived back in Philadelphia. Winner Ford is so much easier. We can leave from the airport and we don't have to drag our luggage on to shuttles and watch full shuttles pass us by. We always pay the extra fee to leave from the airport too.

I can relate! ;) Just for the record, there are a number of parking facilities near the PHL airport, as you might expect - I work a mile from the airport, so I pass them many of them every day! We generally are lucky enough to have someone drop us off to avoid having to park, but we've used SmartPark on a few occasions and been very pleased. But good advice not to use airport parking - insane prices! :scared1: We have never used Winner although they sound like "winners".:goodvibes...here is a list of some of them for your information --

One of the FastTrack locations - on Governor Printz Blvd. - is directly across from the Colonial lot. SmartPark is off the beaten path and a little difficult to find if you are not familiar with the area, but it is on a backroad basically parallel to Governor Printz Blvd., locally called Rt. 291.

Lots of parking around essex ave. easy off before the airport, less than ten a day usually between 6-7 dollars. Park your car, take your keys, the bus takes you right to the airport with your luggage to the terminal you are flying out of.

another vote for winner...we used their white glove service..it is 10$ extra fee but when they pick you up in your car you can just leave..you don't need to bring the valet back to the agency.:thumbsup2 This was awesome at night with little kids.

I can only echo the praises for Winner. I have used them FOREVER and no complaints. From My geo prism to my LX 470 to our BMW... they are always amazing.

We've been using Colonial Parking on Gov Printz Blvd (south of the airport) for a few years now. For us, it's the best because we use I 476 (Blue route) and are on 95N for only a few miles and use the Essington exit. When we return, it's also very easy access to 95S and I 476. We just got back from a WDW trip yesterday and paid $40 (including taxes) with an internet coupon for a five day trip. They have a shuttle whichs runs continually through the parking lot for pickups and when you return to the airport, simply call them after you've claimed your bags and the wait is usually no more than five minutes. Even though I've heard very good things about Winner, I'm still very hesitant to leave our car keys/car with someone else.
