Has anyone ever purchased a AAA Diamond parking pass thru Ebay? I hear they are great passes for those who have strollers, young kids, and all their stuff. However we are not members of AAA and I'm wondering if we'll have any problems using this pass. The sellers have assured me that we won't. Anyone with experience using this pass?

I used one at EPCOT and it was great!!! We were right in front. I have heard that at the MK there is a bit of a walk, but still better than having to fold up the strollers to get on the tram.
Beware that some of the parking passes have blackout dates.

Each AAA parking permit/pass states that they are not for sale and are non-transferrable. When you see one for sale on Ebay, you are seeing someone doing something obviously against AAA statements.
Do with that what you will.

The passes are given to AAA members who book their vacations or purchase their passes through AAA.

They are not available for purchase and are non transferable.

Someone is selling something that:

1. They got for free.

2. They are not supposed to sell.

I know it seems that this thread is a little harsh, it just bugs me because, as a AAA member, I feel that if the passes are being abused, it may be done away with all together. The parking is a really cool perk for members and I would hate to lose it.

Use your best judgement.

Disneybound08, I'm sure you will have a wonderful time and welcome to the DISboards........ :welcome:

I believe the AAA diamond parking passes used to be free for all AAA members, you just needed to ask. Then I assume through abuse, it was changed for people booking the trip through their travel agents only. I imagine that if people continue to abuse it then the perk may go away all together.

That being said, some of the lots are indeed close by. But if you arrive at the park early, then you can very possibly end up in better parking than the AAA lot. I remember in the past that we had to walk more than people without the AAA pass. So it depends.

December is usually a blackout time for the parking passes. Ask the seller which dates it will be.
The blackout dates are different depending on the park.

Magic Kingdom (TTC) - Nov 26-28, Dec 25-Jan 1.

Epcot - Dec 31

MGM - Nov 10-11, Nov 25-29, Dec 25-31

Animal Kingdom - No remaining 2008 blackout dates (July 1 only)
