Parking on the day you buy a premium annual pass?

On the day you buy a premium annual pass, do you have to pay parking? Is there anyway to buy the pass in advance to save that parking charge? Thanks!

Pay for parking as usual, but take your receipt to the ticket booth to receive a credit when purchasing the Premium AP.

If you take the parking receipt to the ticket booth they'll apply it towards the AP.

If you buy the pass online ahead of time and print out the e-ticket they will just scan that and you don't have to pay.

They can't scan the voucher at the parking lots. Some people have reported being allowed to park after showing the voucher. If you have to pay, you can still take your receipt and get a refund at the ticket booth when you activate the AP.

I purchased my AP and paid in full prior to my visit, so they actually gave me cash when I showed them my receipt from parking that day, so if you wanted to by your AP prior, that's an option.

When I bought my Premium AP 2 years ago, I showed them the voucher and said I was redeeming it and they let me right through without having to pay.

I wonder if this works the same when picking up the pass at will call with just the code? Or is it easier to just go to DTD to park and pick up the pass...
