parking lot closing time?

How long after the parks close do the parking lots close? We would like to visit HS and stay until closing. After, we want to visit the Boardwalk area. Would we be able to leave our car at the HS parking lot, walk back a couple hours later, and get our car out? We'd just need to be able to walk to our car and exit the lot. We'll enter the lot when it's open.

You are able to exit at any time. While the lot is technically closed there is no issue leaving your car there.
