What time do cars have to be out of the lot?

If a car is not driven out of the theme park lot by a specific time, normally nothing will happen. Although the car should be driven out when all family members are leaving, sometimes there is no designated driver.

* If the car remains in the same spot for several days it may be treated as abandoned and towed away,
* The car could be broken into or stolen if miscreants get to it between tours of the security staff.
* Sleeping in the car parked in the lot (or sleeping in any place in Florida other than a legitimate residence or lodging or campground) is unlawful.

None of the parking lots (other than the one at AK) close at all. Getting to a park that is already closed can be a problem, though.

Leaving a car in one of the theme park lot overnight is typically not a problem. Its actually a smart move if you've over-indulged at one of the theme park restaurants and decide to be safe and take the bus/taxi/uber back to your resort.

Furthermore, if you want to park at a theme park and then hop via Disney Transport to another park that's open later, transportation will be available back to the closed park until the 2nd park is clear of Guests. But only from another park, not from a resort or DS.

Of course, trams likely will not be running, so you'll have to hike from the bus stop out to your car.
