How safe it MVMCP at night. I may end up going alone and am worried about going back to my car alone. I will be staying offsite, so will not be able to use WDW transportation. Being in MK alone doesn't bother me, but walking through the parking lot alone at midnight does. Debby

The parking lots are very well lit, and the trams run quickly and efficently. You should have no problems. Just be sure to remember the section and row you're parked in; this will save lots of time, stress and hassle

If you are leaving MVMCP at midnight, rest assured you will be doing so with thousands of other people. Drive to the MK parking lot when you arrive, take the ferry or monorail to the MK, enjoy your party, then leave the same way. You will either be in a huge mob waiting for the ferry or a huge mob waiting for the monorail. Then you'll be in another huge mob waiting for a tram to the parking lot. Many people will have parked in your same lot and there are security vans riding through all the lots consistently. In all the years I've traveled solo and left late at night, I've never given a second thought to the parking lots. I'd say they are completely safe.

Could not agree more...and you will love the Party...spouse and I had a ball last year...be sure to catch all the special shows....Ted

If when you approach the parking lot, you become nervous I would ask a CM to contact security to escort you to your car. This I would think would not be a problem.

If you park near the tram stop, you should be fine. If however you find yourself parked at the very end away from the tram, circle around again and ask the 'parker' if you can be near the stop. Most of them are very understanding and will direct you to a place by the tram stop. I have done this on a few occaissions when I was alone. I agree that WDW is a very safe place, and I have travelled all over the world alone, but sometimes walking down that very long row of cars alone at nights gives me the shivers.

Asking for security sometimes works, but other times you may wait what feels like a long while alone at the tram stop for someone to arrive. (security may be dealing with something else at the moment)

Once I got off to walk, and the tram attendant actually ran after me and offered to walk with me as he went on his break.

Good advise has been given. I stay on site, and yes, I've had my moments walking alone to the bus stop. I tend to walk near a group of people going in the same direction.''

I actually disagree with other posters (sorry). The MK parking lot is not very well lit in some places. Also, when you ae leaving a Special evening event like MVMCP there will not be the usual amount of people leaving when it is a normal park closing.

When you are ready to leave for the night - go to Guest Relations on Main Street. Let them know you are by yourself and you are nervous to go to the parking lot on your own. They will either have security come and pick you up to take you to your car, or they will drive you by van themselves. - I know, I used to work there.

Anyway - you will be well taken care of - just don't be afraid to speak up and let them know!

I agree with the OP. If I drive and am staying late, I tell the attendant I am a solo traveler and would like to be at the front of a row. Never had a problem

Enjoy
