parking in Waikiki

Staying at Aulani for full 10 days,, but want to explore Waikiki one day. Where is the best place to park,,,I know they are all expensive,,so what is the cost? And we are not leaving anything in the car, but security, do you get more if you pay more somewhere?

Depends on where you are going and what you are trying to do. If you spend over $10 at Royal Hawaiian Center and have the store or restaurant validate your ticket, their garage is pretty reasonable with the validation rates. We are usually in Waikiki primarily to shop there anyway so that garage is where we park.


Just follow normal city rules and don't leave stuff in your car and you should be fine.

Royal Hawaiian center is where we park when going for just a few hours. Fairly inexpensive (when validated), and there aren’t many reports of issues. Lots of people in and out helps reduce car prowls.

If we’re doing a full day, we park at Waikiki Parking Garage (333 Seaside). It’s a bit harder to find, and a couple of blocks off the beach, but it’s much cheaper if you’re staying for a longer stay, and an easy wal to the beach and shops and restaurants. That’s a garage locals use. My mom parked there for work for 15 years, and never any problems.
