Does anyone know of any places to park in Ashford for a few days for the Eurostar.

I know about the prices for waterloo and was wondering about parking in Ashford.

The main car part at Ashford Station is £11.50 a day

If you are staying at the Holiday Inn before or after they will let you park for free and then you can take a taxi for just a few pounds.

The car park at Ashford is an multi-storey connected to the station. Expensive but easy to use

I've stayed in the explorers hotel, its excelent for larger families as the 6 people room is very cheap compared to booking 2 rooms in any other hotel.

The hotel is well suited to small children with an indoor play area and family pool.

The breakfast is fine, quality a little bit lower in some places like canned fruit cocktail rather then fresh fruit salad etc, but overall good.

Rooms are clean and the toilet is in a seperate room to the bath / shower so thats usefull again.

The free shuttle buses work fine, (not tried in high season though) and the Explorers is the first stop on a pick up run so the bus is empty.

I'm going back there in 10 days time, I'd love to stay at a Disney hotel again but there is too many of us :rotfl:

We were originally travelling from Waterloo, but when we checked out the prices and times of trains from the East Midlands, plus factored in an overnight stop that would be needed it was going to be very expensive. There was no way we were going to drive to and park at Waterloo, so we decided to go from Ashford. We are staying in the Travelodge the night before, £26 room for all of us, and parking at the station. Yes it's £11.50 for 24 hours, so will be £57.50 but that was still less than one return train fare to Waterloo from where we live!!
