So take a cab or drop your family off on Harbor while you park the car @ the Toy Story lot and then make you way back to the parks to join your family.

They have a walking route, which is about 1.25 miles as I recall.

I've walked it, and it is more like a half mile. It usually takes us about 15 minutes to walk back to our cars. Sometimes we just don't want to deal with the trams.
