Parking for Magic Kingdom and entry time for party

We have tickets for tomorrow's Christmas party. Two questions.....where is the best place to park if we are staying off site and only coming at 4 pm for the party. We are going for lunch at Cookes of Dublin prior so would Disney Springs be the best bet?

Also, is there a long line to get in at 4:00 or do they start letting people in a bit earlier?

I would pay to park at MK. There are no buses from parks to Disney Springs. You would have to take a bus to a hotel and then to MK. We once waited for a Floridian relative of mine to do this, to meet us in Epcot, and it took them nearly 2 hours to get to us from the time they got onto WDW property. And that was during a slow time.

Go to lunch, then move the car to MK and pay for parking.

I agree I would definitely park at MK. The time it takes to get there from Disney Springs and then to get back there at the end of the night is not worth it.

Not sure if it would be any different, but the Halloween parties they were letting people in most days around 3:45. Possibly because the crowd does get pretty big. We went at 3:15 and were some of the first people to arrive but by 3:45 the crowd was so big I couldn't tell where it ended.

I just want to mention that I personally hate paying for parking. But sometimes convenience is worth paying some money for. $17 (is that what it is now?) to have your car close by, to not have to deal with two buses and crowds and all that just to get to MK, could really be worth it.

I agree... park at MK. Even though it is $20 now.

Not to mention that Disney frowns upon Guests parking at the Springs and bussing to a Resort and on to a Park.
