I need some information about parking. We are going to be in Disney Thanksgiving week and we have another family going with us. There will be a total of 8 people in our party. We are driving down and on the night , of the day that we arrive we have reservations for HDDR. We are staying at the Boardwalk Villas and in the past (if we did not have park hoppers) we have done the old get on the bus head to a park get on another bus heading to the resort at which we are going to dine. Since we will be getting in around 4pm and will want to unpack, let the kids run and get some energy out etc, I'd rather not have to do the switcharoo and have to leave about 1-1 1/2 hrs before our 8:30 dining reservation. Does anyone know if we can drive over and just park at the front of the campgrounds and take the bus back? I don't remember if there is a parking spot back there but if I'm remembering correctly there isn't. Thanks in advance for your help

You are remembering correctly You'll drive over to FW tell security at the kiosk in the front what you are there for May need to tell them your ADR confirmation number ( or if a magic band and it's linked they will scan it and see for themselves) You'll be told how/where to park Then go to the bus over near Tri-Circle_D I forget which color internal bus Map there or a driver will tell you Have a wonderful time :thumbsup2

Great!!! Thanks so much. Just needed a conformation on my memory. I'm so used to traveling with just us 4 and for time allowances for 4 but now I have 8 and I'm the sole planner and tour guide. This will be the first and maybe once in a life time trip for the other family. Disney is huge and can be overwhelming so I want to make their trip as fun and stress free as possible:scared:

FYI
Last time we went we could find no available parking spaces at all except for guests check-in. We finally went inside to ask and they said no problem, we could park in those spots!

:thumbsup2 Thanks for the info. It will probably be crowded that time of year. We stayed at the cabins 6 yrs ago during Thanksgiving week and it was pretty busy.

I promise you you will NOT have a problem parking DH and I ate Thanksgiving dinner at Mickeys' Backyard BBQ last year Hope to do it again this year

CMs on foot and pargos/golf carts directed everyone where to park They had opened up the grass fields for the overflow no worries :thumbsup2
