Parking for Geyser Point?

On our arrival day we'd like to have lunch at Geyser Point. We'll be landing mid-morning at MCO and will have a rental car. Since Geyser Point doesn't take ADRs will we be able to park at the resort? We'll be there in Mid December before the heavy holiday rush, if it matters any.

Otherwise, I know we can park at TTC but was trying to avoid having to ride monorail to boat and back.

I don't think anyone can answer that definitively for you. You can ask when you arrive, but it will be up to the CM at the gate. WL during the month of December is always busy and crowded with people wanting to look at the decorations, so it doesn't really matter when you are there in December. It also doesn't matter whether you are staying onsite, or not. You definitely need a back-up plan as parking there is probably unlikely.

We love Geyser Point, and usually end up taking a bus to WL to get there to avoid any questions re: ADR when arriving via Uber/rental car. Perhaps take a bus via the quickest method from whichever resort you are staying at, and Uber back to your home resort after?

Probably not---WDW resorts have gotten pretty picky about only letting registered guests or those with ADRs through the gates of most resorts. You might be pixie-dusted, but if it were me I would not even try, as it is almost certainly just wasting time.

I would be inclined to have an arrival day lunch closer to my resort. However, GP is a great choice for a "take a break from Magic Kingdom" late lunch/early dinner though! Then you can take the boat back and forth.

I stayed Wilderness Lodge over the weekend and didn’t think it was particularly busy. They had the only guests or those with a dining reservation may park here sign posted at the gate, as did the monorail three.

It's a complete mystery unfortunately. It doesn't hurt to ask at the gate. The next best option would probably be parking at Epcot and taking the bus to Wilderness Lodge. I think that would be faster than the TTC to monorail to boat option.

If you are staying onsite either take a bus from your resort to a theme park to WL, or park at a theme park and take a bus. It'd probably be faster than boats/monorail to WL, but hey! Where else do you get to take a monorail? If you don't care when you eat, make getting there part of the fun!

Mid December is still going to be a very busy time, and there are a lot of people who want to see the decorations in the lobby of the Wilderness Lodge. I would not count on being able to park and as others have suggested, get transportation to the Lodge by bus.

Parking is at the discretion of the security guards at the entrance. They heavily prefer ADRs and actual hotel guests… and they CAN and WILL turn away non-guests by redirecting them to Disney Springs buses. If you’re staying at a Disney owned resort hotel, you should be able to just take a bus to Magic Kingdom then connect to a bus heading to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

pointing out the obvious and rule of thumb, Parking is for resort guest and those with dining reservations. I don’t think Geyser Point has reservations, only walk up in person or via app. That could change though because it is very popular. We will be staying in the cabins in a couple of weeks and it will be our first meal and probably several to go orders to enjoy while we sit in the hot tub.

So, just so you won’t be disappointed if the guard actually follows the rule on parking, take Disney transportation and you will be just fine and not taking space from guest parking.

If you happen to be staying near a non-MK park, you could always head to that park and then bus to WL. It’s be a little less circuitous than TTC to MK to WL.

Alternatively there’s the option to get an ADR to something at WL that does take ADRs. I won’t suggest how you handle keeping vs cancelling that reservation. Either way you’d be patronizing the resort…

Hmmm

With 3 kids, adding multiple loops/stops is a bit of a pain. Especially on a day we'll have been up since 3am.

We may switch to 3 bridges instead. We're proabbly less likely to encounter a parking issue there compared to the resorts which have quicker access to MK.

With three kids, after a long travel day, Geyser Point may just not be the best option. With seating being first come/first served, you could face a bit of a wait...especially if it is a day where there are college or pro football games.

We were there last year on a Sunday and lucked out on two seats at the bar. By 1:30, there was a pretty good wait for tables.

That said, I wonder if joining the waitlist would work as an ADR? I know plan disney isn't always reliable but they suggest that in one of their posts.

Where are you staying on property? I assume not a Monorail resort since that would make it fairly easy to just monorail to MK and boat to WL. From any other resort, you're pretty much having to take the MK bus, then boat over to WL. It might not be too painful if you can schedule that lunch visit ON your MK day - you're already at MK, then you just pop over to the WL boat, eat lunch, and boat back to MK for the rest of the day. Without going through MK, the only other option is your resort bus to Disney Springs, then Disney Springs bus to WL.

You have to be in proximity to join the waitlist ... like in the park where it is located, perhaps in the resort proper. MDE knows where you are so hard around that.
