Parking for Chef Mickey

We have chef mickey booked for 30th May at 8 a.m. and plan to spend the rest of the day at Animal Kingdom. As we are staying off site should we park up for breakfast then travel to AK after, or drive straight to AK then get disney transport to the resort for breakfast then travel back.
If its best to go to AK first what is the best way to get to the Contempory from AK that early in the morning.

You can park at the Ticket and Transportation Center and then take the monorail to Chef Mickey's for your breakfast. You can take a bus from the CR to AK.

Or, you can park at the CR (they will let you park for 3 hours if you have a PS) and then drive to AK after your meal.

Since you are offsite and have your own car I would definitely drive to the CR, then drive to AK. Thats definitely the easiest and quickest way I can see.
