Parking fee - conflicting info.

wdwinfo says self parking at DL hotels is included in the resort fee if you have a room only reservation or a package.

allears says self parking is $15 a day for your reservation.

So is the self parking fee included or tacked on extra?

I called Disney today and there is a $15 parking fee.

It used to be included in your package but looks like they pulled it out and charge separately whether or not you get a package or room only reservation.

There is no longer a resort fee, now it's just a separate $15 parking fee. That change has been in place for a while, so your first source is outdated.

Not to confuse things, but if you are staying at DLH or PP (which we did last month) on DVC points, the parking fees is waived. Not sure what the deal is at GCH.

Thanks. That will help others. We don't have DVC. We usually get a package and fly but we wanted a coastal road trip and so it's a whole different (and expensive) game now.

Thanks. I just don't pay enough attention to things like that. Just have my top sites I go to when planning a trip.

Btw, wasn't it notsofrostyjosh or someone like that who had an easy disney planning site that was free? I think maybe it is WDW only since I just found the site again.

I booked our hotel stay at the Grand through American Airlines using our mileage. Their site that I booked on clearly stated that self parking was included. When I checked in the last week of July, the front desk clerk said I would be charged for parking that it was no longer included in packages. I then called American Airlines and asked to speak with a manager. The manager called someone at the Grand in the billing department and clarified that the contract that I guess Disney has with the package reseller that American uses included parking. So I think it just depends on who you book through and what the contract is. If your package says self parking is included it's worth having your booking agent fight the charges on your behalf. I had print outs of everything so felt confident that I wasn't supposed to be charged the fee. Good luck!

If you stay on points it is included in your maintenance fees so there will not be an extra charge for self parking. If you want valet, that is full-price.

Does anyone know if you are charged the parking fee if you are just eating in a resturaunt or have time at the spa? Not overnight.
