Parking fee - conflicting info.

Does anyone know if you are charged the parking fee if you are just eating in a resturaunt or have time at the spa? Not overnight.

Parking in the lots, not hotel parking is free if your receipt is validated within a certain time period. Hope someone else chimes in since our experience was 3 years ago.

If you are eating in a restaurant you typically would park in Downtown Disney. It is free parking for 3 hours, and 5 with a validated parking ticket.

Having said that, I have eaten at Storytellers and Steakhouse 55 several times, and I use the hotel valet parking. As of earlier this year, valet was free when I ate at a Disney Hotel restaurant, and I just tipped them.

Another time, I parked at the hotel, and we changed from Storytellers to a Downtown Disney restaurant, and I had to pay for the valet parking.

I do not know what the rules are for using the Mandara spa, but hope to find out soon.
