I was told that if you have a state issued handicapped parking permit you are not required to pay resort parking fees during your stay. We will be at the Beach Club Resort for a week next month and I would like to know if this is true. Thank you.
Keep an eye on your bill. My mom who was staying with us at BC in April has handicap plates. I called beforehand to verify that we wouldn't be charged. We brought the handicap placard in with us at check in. They confirmed we wouldn't be charged. I noticed charges still popping up a few days in so my mom went to the front desk. They said they resolved it and we'd be refunded. I got home, saw they continued to charge us. Waited for a few weeks and the charges didn't drop off. I finally spoke with someone on the phone that was able to remove the charges.
This is great advice for everyone, even if you don't have a handicap plate/placard. Many, many stories of guests being charged for parking who arrived via Magical Express, Uber, Minnie Van, etc.

The bill can be confusing too if you use your MB's to charge anything. We stopped using our MB's to charge anything after that trip because the holds & all of the charges were hard to sort through.
