Parking - early arrival best spots? Re-parking later?

I think I remember SW as having good parking if you got there early. As oppose to some parks that are filling a garage in such a way that arriving later could actually get you a closer spot.

I was hoping to be there around opening and leave around noon for break coming back after 4pm. Is the parking usually close to entrance for early arrivers?

Does the parking lot open back up later to search for close spots where people have left or do they continue parking you in rows after 4?

Thanks.

I can only answer the first question. When we went this past June, we arrived about 30 minutes before opening and parked very close to the entrance (less than a football field). The premium parking ($20 I think) was only a little closer and wouldn't be worth the cost. However, if you are leaving and then returning later in the day it might get you closer.

when coming back later in the day, do not go where they shuffle you off to, just head closer to the entrance and find a spot where someone has left.

fyi, leaving at closing time sucks, it is not well organized and you could spend 30 minutes or more trying to leave.

Do they hustle you along to the exit after Reflections, or is it possible to linger a bit and have an ice cream, pet the stringrays or whatever while the crowd disperses from the parking lot?

the attractions close when the park closes, you won't be able to pet stingrays

the ice shop, by the entrance, on the other hand does a booming business after reflections. (and the bakery)
