Parking @ Dolphin prior to actual check in?

We're moving to the Dolphin from CBM during our trip and doing Epcot that morning. Do you know if it's possible to park our car at the Dolphin early that morning and walk thru to Epcot then go back to the resort later to do the actual check in? We have a PS for the Princesses...know I can't keep them waiting...soft opening day for Mission Space and don't want to waste any precious summer morning hours @ check in!

The parking lot at the Dolphin is not gated like at Disney resorts. You should have no problem parking there prior to check-in.
