Parking before we check-in-will we have to pay?

We will be arriving at MCO late at night, 11:00 pm. We are renting a car. We decided to stay somewhere near the airport that 1st night, to save $$.(We are staying at the Yacht Club).

I know we could stop in at the Yacht Club the next morning, leave our bags etc. But if we opt to just drive straight on to MK, then head over to check in at the Yacht Club in the afternoon, how will we get our free resort parking without our keys to the world in hand? Can we just show our reservation info?

If you go to MK before you check in, you'll have to pay to park at MK.

If you go to the resort first, and check in, then you'll get your parking permit and then you won't have to pay to park the rest of your trip.

I've always received my parking permit from the guard at the resort gate. Why not just circle in, get the parking permit, and go on to MK (checking in later in the day)?

Will 100% of your luggage fit in the trunk? Otherwise don't even think of going straight to theme park. You don't want to start your vacation by having your luggage stolen.

Ooooh, we are AP holders, didn't think about that. However, the other family traveling with us isn't, so we may have to just go to the resort first. They aren't on a MYW package, so they will have park tickets, but not parking until we check-in.

I'm just so excited to get to MK, this other family has never been before. I'm afraid if we go by the resort the kids will get all interested in seeing the pool etc. and I was hoping to hit MK around 10, head back to YC around 2 or 3 and maybe even let them swim a bit before dinner at CG, 6:00 then back to the MK for EMH until 2am.

I know we should be able to swing by the YC and still get to MK by 10, but since we get in late the night before and we plan to stay up late in the MK-2am, I didn't want to have to wake everyone up too early.

I know, I know, I'm overplanning, right.

Will the other family be in your car or will they have their own?

If they are with you, no problem. If they will have their own, do both you and DH have AP's?

If so, then let them borrow one to get thru the toll plaza to park. If you feel funny about this, one of you ride with them.
