Parking at US/IoA

I understand there's 2 parking areas for US/IoA, a $20 option and a $15 option. I'm wondering if the extra $5 is worth it? Is it quite a bit closer? How far is parking from the entrance? Is it a parking structure? How do you get from parking to entrance (walk, tram...)?

I believe the $20 option is preferred parking which puts you on the same floor as the moving walkways. Valet is $25 and puts you right at the entrance to Citywalk. We have not parked in the regular garage in about 5 years so I could be wrong. Someone else might chime in.

As for getting to the parks from the garage. You will walk and use the moving side walks until you arrive at Citywalk. From there its a short walk to which ever park you choose.

You are correct...Preferred puts you on level 3 which is the main level where the moving sidewalks are...but doesn't physically put you any closer to the parks. It saves time by not having to fool with the elevators and escalators but that's it. I used to pay for Preferred parking but gave that up years ago.

Thank you for replying. I guess we'll just do the regular parking because I don't have a problem using escalators if that's the only real difference. Saves me $15 over the 3 days we'll be there--enough for more butterbears

BTW: Harry Potter at the midnight show was fabulous. So sad it's over
