Parking at the Dock?

Hi Y'all,
I didn't have to deal with this issue last cruise, but may need to in August...

Can you park right at the DCL terminal? If so, how much? If not, where do you park (and how much)?

Yes, you can park at the terminal...or right across the street rather. It's just a short walk from the lot to the terminal. There are some big fenced lots there. If I remember right, the cost to park overnight is $10/night. You can pay with cash or credit/debit card, and you pay when you park. HTH!

We had always parked across the street, but for the most recent cruise we took in April (or maybe it was the one before that in January) we parked right next to the terminal, in the lot that is directly to the left, next to the luggage unloading area. It simply was open and available and that is where I was directed.

Thanks for the info! Sounds like the lot across the street is the same I parked in last year just to unload.

Logan, is the lot next door the same price ($10/nite)?

Do any of the local hotels have free parking (w/ shuttle to terminal), if you stay there the night before sailing? Avg cost for a hotel night?

Magic parking is in the lot near the building with overflow going across the street to the Wonder parking. Sometimes Port Authority will change the parking arrangement because of itinerary changes or landscape maintenance(lots of palm trees and bushes to keep trimmed).

Do you have to take the cruise package for the free parking and shuttle service (from Radisson) or can you just book a regular room rate and still park there and use shuttle? The difference is $99 for reg and $139 for "cruise package" which includes breakfast.

We have never booked the cruise package and they always ask if we're going to leave our car.
