We are planning to have dinner at Beaches and Cream, visit Epcot and then take a walk around the Boardwalk area. We can park at the Boardwalk for several hours, can't we?

I was in FL in early April and early May and unless you were valet parking or staying at BW, the guards were sending people to the overflow parking lot across the street.

Too many people were parking at BW then going on to the parks.

Generally, at any of the WDW resorts for self parking they will give you a 3hr parking pass which will allow enough time for shopping or dinning or just checking out the resort. They especially do this at the resorts like BW,Y & B , and the MK resorts as they don't want you to park there and head to the parks avoiding the themepark lot fees and taking up limited space for the registered resort guests. If you want to park for longer than that and are at a deluxe resort that offers valet parking you can do that with no time limit as you'll be charged for the day. If you valet park at BW and then want to head over to the CR (or any other deluxe that offers valet parking for example) they will give you a valet tag that shows you've paid for the day so that you won't have to pay again at the next resort.
