Parking at Resorts

I know that as a DVC member we have been able to drive to DVC resorts other than the one we were staying in and park for free, but what about the other resorts? I want to spend some time this trip looking at all of the resorts, and I think the best way would be to drive myself. Is there a parking fee? We'll be staying at Kidani...

You may self park free at all resorts. Valet parking is not free for DVCers anymore at any resort, including the DVC resorts.

MK area resorts may have a time limit on self parking to discourage parking there for theme park access.

Note that Swan and Dolphin are NOT Disney operated resorts, and do charge for parking.

last week the guard asked for my picture id, key to the world, and he looked at my parking pass from Kidani.

That is the normal procedure. Some ask for just the parking pass and a room key, but many do ask for a photo ID. I guess it depends upon crowd levels and if they are on a security alert of some kind.

We didn't have any problem with it. We were impressed that they asked for it.

It also has something to do with the time of day. I think it was after 10 PM they would always ask for an ID, even if you were going back to your own resort.
