Parking at Port Orleans for DTD

Hi,

Just listening to the podcast. Is it ok to park at Port Orleans for Downtown Disney? What do you tell the security guy?

I remember going to a dinner reservation at the animal kingdom lodge a few years back and the security guy wouldn't let me in as I didn't have an ID with me. I had to do a U-turn just past the security hut at the car park and go home. I was mad that night.

You will prob have to show id just to get through the gate. I usually just say I am going to eat or meet friends for a drink at River Roost. Which I actually usually do while at the resort. Taking the boat up the river is a great time.

Last time I went (2 months ago) I only had to scan my Magic Band and that was at Grand Floridian, POP, Beach Club, and Caribbean Beach. Still I would definitely have your ID on you, and they shouldn't give you any problems.
