Parking at other Disney Resorts

We haven't driven to Disney World in awhile, but plan to this time. If we wanted to see some of the other resorts and wanted to bypass the Disney Transportation, could we park at say the beach club to check that out and then walk to the International Gateway in Epcot?

Or do hotels have parking fees....which would make it silly to do this.

Parking at resorts is for resort guests only. If you have a dining reservation at a resort, or just want to check out the resort, you can park there for up to 3 hours, but you cannot leave your car there while you go to a park.

Like the OP has mentioned, I think that there is a time limit as to how long you can park if you are not staying at that resort.

We've never had a problem getting into another resort if we're staying at a Disney resort ("hey, we're at Boardwalk, want to check out AoA" - guards have always let us in)

Don't know if they would be so easy if you weren't staying at another DW resort.

If it is a busy time of year, I don't think the CM at the gate will let you park, just to look around.

The resorts near the parks in my experience can be strict about parking. We have been turned away at the gate without an ADR even when we were willing to pay valet. It depends on how crowded the lot is that day so no way to know.

You can always valet at a resort and go to the park. Valet currently costs $25+tip.

Not always. You have to get past the gate first.
Assuming you don't have some other legitimate reason to park at the resort, just tell them at the gate that you're planning to valet. They'll let you in. And likely follow you on camera to make sure you actually valet.

Not always in our experience. We have been turned away at the CR without an ADR even when we said we wanted to valet.

Hotels don't have parking fees but the only way to stay there all day would be to valet park which costs just the same or more as a Disney lot. To just "look around" is a three hour window as is the same for a dining reservation. This is especially true for monorail resorts and Epcot resorts.
