For those of you who fly out of Midway, where do you park? We are about 1 1/2 hours southwest of the airport and fly out at 7:20 am on Thanksgiving day. We are wating for the weather forecast before we make the decision to stay at a hotel near the airport. A few questions:
1. If we do stay overnight, any suggestions of hotels that have parking and free shuttle to Midway?

2. Anyone ever used Park, Fly, Ride? I found it on the inernet last night. They are about $2/day cheaper than parking at Midway, but you have to pay in advance. They say they have indoor secure parking. Any thoughts??

Thanks!
Laurie

Everytime I fly out of Midway I use midway parksavers. If you go to ATA.com click on site map and then click on the link for parking they have a coupon for a free day. It cost 10/day and it is located across from the orange line on 59th St.

If you are looking to stay overnight at a hotel I think all the hotels in the area offer free shuttle.

I am 1 mile from MDW. If you remember the tragic SW plane sliding off the runway last December 8th in the snowstorm, i am 2 blocks from there.

You have a few options. There is a park and ride along 55th Street at Laramie. You park it there and a shuttle takes you right to the airport check in. I think its about 12.00 per day.

As far as a hotel, there is a few along Cicero Avenue between 65th & 67th Street. On the west side of the street. ( I have past them by 1000 times in the last 3 months and for the life of me, i have no clue what the names are, sorry. Next time, i will check the names and post. ) Im not sure if they have free parking if you stay one night, but i do know they too have a shuttle bus.

If it were me, i would park at the parking lot along 55th Street. Adjacent to the airport between Cicero and Laramie avenues. ( its west of Cicero at 55th Street.)

The shuttle buses are in use ALL the time. We live so close it takes someone 5 minutes to drop us off. So i never use the shuttle transportation. Its the ONLY advantage to living so close to MDW. Sometimes the planes fly so low you can see the people and pilots faces.

Emjoy your trip and I will post the hotel names when I pass them by this week.
