Parking at Grand Californian

We are going to DL in January and staying at the GC! My husband was just asking me today about the parking there. I know that I read that you can either self park or valet. Are both of these a per day charge? Does anyone know what the charges for either are? TIA

<font color=navy>Self parking is included in packages, and if you're just renting a room, you'll be charged a resort fee of $11.50/day (with tax) that will include self parking, fitness center, and daily newspaper.

Valet parking is an extra charge per day, I believe. (I haven't checked out those prices in awhile)

Last time we were there (this past summer) I believe the charge for valet parking was $12.00 per day. That is in addition to the resort fee you are already paying which includes self-park privileges.
The self-park lot is actually across the street - but was still pretty easy and worth it to us to save the $12 plus tips per day for valet service.

I agree w/Az Pirates. I would rather save the valet charge, & park myself. I do recommend, though, that when you check in, park near the entrance & drop off your luggage so you don't have to lug it across the street. You're allowed to temporarily park while you check in. I do this, check in, and have my kids take the luggage up to the room. Then I go park across the street. It really doesn't take that long.
