We are planning on staying at pop. Do we get free parking at Epcot?

We are thinking the night we arrive to drive to Fantasia Gardens. Is there free parking there? Are we able to walk over for dinner at the Boardwalk, or would we need to move the car - I can see if there's parking there people would abuse it. Is there parking at the Boardwalk for guests who arent staying there?

Yes, you get free parking at Epcot and all the other parks. Yes, there is free Parking at Fantasia Gardens. Not really wise to try to walk to BW from Fantasia, and yes, you can park at BW for dinner, there is parking.

Why do you say its not wise? I've done it before, but when I was on the disney transportation and not a time we had a car.

Because the parking at Fantasia is for people going to play mini golf. Why not park at BW if you are going to BW?

Because the walk from guest parking at BW is probably further than the Fantasia lot! :lmao:

Sorry, couldn't resist. You are right. Doesn't make sense to park at Fantasia and walk to BW. I get the park at Fantasia - walk to Epcot vibe though, but I could be wrong.

So everyone agrees, I should park at the Boardwalk and walk to the golf center?

I probably screwed up in my first post...

the plan is to do golf the first night, with a possible trip over to the boardwalk for dinner.

The epcot visit would be the next day, and we'd part in the lot at epcot.

I hope I didnt imply doing all three together and using the international gateway.

Long walk, and Disney is not too keen on people walking on the roadways that do not have sidewalks, and if I recall, there are no sidewalks. And, other's have mentioned, Fantasia parking lots are for those playing golf.

I sure did not take it that way. I think your original post was just fine.

Actually, there is a walkway on the Swan side of the Swan and Dolphin, right beside the swimming pool beach area, and a crosswalk at the Fantasia Gardens entrance. But the FG parking lot is small and only intended for the golfers.

And if people start using Fantasia as a parking lot for other "attractions" they may well end up gating it.

Thanks for the info.

Personally, I don't see a problem with leaving the car at FG while having dinner. It's not being done to avoid a parking charge, and the car was legitimately parked there to patronize the golf course.

Both FG & BW are part of the Epcot Resorts complex, they are a short walk from each other, and there are lighted pathways intended for guest use. It's like saying a guest parked at DTD Marketplace has to move their car to the West Side lots before they go to a movie or HOB.

... UNLESS there is a sign at FG saying parking is only for guests WHILE playing golf.

If in doubt, ask the cast at the starter desk whether it's OK to leave the car there for a couple of hours.

I understand your perspective but if parking is limited IMHO patrons should only park there while using the facility. Excluding the parks parking is very limited IMHO.

Your post was fine. I was just really tired when I read it and I think I misunderstood.

Park at FG and golf. Then drive to BW and park. It is a bit of a hike and if you have a car with you anyway, I would just drive from one lot to the other.

The really funny thing??? I have played at Fantasia Gardens many times, and haven't even noticed parking there!! I'm sure there is parking, just didn't notice it. We stay at BW and walk over all the time. Takes about 15-20 mins. And the pathway is very nice.
I would just park at BW...ask at the guard shack and park where they tell you to park. Or park at Fantasia Gardens. I just don't think overcrowding is big issue for that parking lot.
