So, we don’t have a car for our next weekends trip to BCV, but we have friends driving in from Tampa to meet us and go to the park. I know if I had my own car or a rental, I could park at the resort for free. However, can I just list our friend’s car as our car for the purposes of the trip. They won’t be staying with us, and I’d prefer not to buy them as guests. However, the statement is absolutely true: Their car is our car for the day. That is how we are getting around, whether they drive us to other resorts, we stay just at BCV, or we go out for dinner off property. Basically, when they are at the resort with the car, my fiancé and I (both DVC members) will be with them and the car.
I’m not trying to circumvent the system, and I’d rather just pay than try to get too crafty. I’m just thinking that a car I rented for purposes of getting me around WDW would be allowed to park. Why can’t the car that gets me around the property for that day not park at the resort, especially since I’m not listing any other cars? If this is ok (which I’m still not sure if I clear this first hurdle), please let me know what I’d have to do. Otherwise, I’ll just ask them to pay or park elsewhere and use park transportation.
Again, I’m new to all this, so I appreciate your advice.
