i've seen an old thread about it, but has anyone in recent years staying at the same Disney resort before and after a cruise try leaving their car at the resort and taking other transportation (Disney or otherwise) to and from the port? I don't know if you can simply check with the resort to give you a parking pass that covers all the days, or just leave it there and see. I don't know if it's against their policy or something. Thanks!

Last September we were camping at Fort Wilderness before and after our cruise. We let them know at check in and they provided us with a parking pass to cover during the cruise.

Reality is, unless you're staying at a Deluxe, they typically don't pay any attention but to be on the safe side just let them know.

As noted, it's best to contact the resort beforehand and set this up. Generally, yes, if you are staying before and after the cruise you can leave your car. But not always.

Have you priced transfers from/to your resort vs. parking at the port? You may find it's actually cheaper to park at the port.

It's $90 to park for a 5 day cruise and like $70 a person for Disney transfer, but it's a $30 car rental each way which is cheaper. We are probably going to have a family member who lives in the area take us down to the cruise, and rent a car back.
