If we wanted to go for breakfast at spoodles that isn't actually at the boardwalk resort is it?

where would we park?
do we have to pay for parking?
and can we leave the car there when we go to EPCOT or is it better to drive over and park in the EPCOT lot?

Yes, spoodles is at Boardwalk. You can park there for breakfast, you can not leave your car there & go to EPCOT. Signs indicate that parking for theme park access is not allowed.

across the street from the BW is parking. you can park here and go to the parks.

Kurby: Where are you staying? If you are staying on-property, you may just use Disney transportation. IF you are DVC Member, you can valet park at BW and then move your car.

On our most recent trip, we stayed at BWV while our friends stayed at POR. The day we ate breakfast at Cape May, my friends took the bus to the studios, and the boat to BC. We then all took the boat over to the studios.

I suggest taking the bus to DHS and the boat (or walk) to the BW. You can then either walk or take the boat onto the International Gateway at Epcot.

we're going to split our stay between AKL and OKW

i didn't realize the boardwalk walk way was actually part of the boardwalk resort - thought there was different parking (we haven't been there since before we got married and can't remember how we got there)

we're planning on doing EPCOT the day we go to spoodles so maybe we'll drive into EPCOT and take the boat over for breakfast then back

can you do that? can you get to the boats from the parking lot of EPCOT at 8am?

I'm not sure. Maybe you can, if the boats are running for the Akershus breakfast, but I wouldn't plan on it.

hummm - how early do the buses run?

Do you mean park at Epcot, walk all the way through Epcot to get to the BW? You'll have to walk through a certain area in the World Showcase because it doesn't open until 11 AM. And you can't get into Epcot until 9AM usually.

If you are dining at Spoodles at 8AM, you will need to park at the BW, then move your car over to the Epcot parking lot.

Not unless the park opens at 8am. To get to the boats from the parking lot you have to through the main entrance and then out the international gate entrance between Canada and France. If the park is closed there is no way to get from the main parking lot to the international gate.

the problem with going through Epcot is that you can't get in Epcot until 8am. It takes a few minutes to walk through FW and WS to get to the boat dock or to walk all the way over to Spoodles at BW. If you have an 8am reservation it doesn't work. You might could get through Epcot by 8:30, but still your not going the easiest route.

However, if you park or bus over to the studios, you can take the boat at that hour because you don't physically have to enter the studios to get on the boat. That way your only concerned with what times transportation runs, not what time the park opens.

Epcot does not have a parking lot attached to the World Showcase, only Future World.

Also, if you park at the studios ALL DAY, make sure that the studios closes late enough for you to get transportation back to your car. I would personally just take the bus. That way, you don't have to worry about the car, and where you parked, etc. when you decide to leave.

I hope everything works out!

it's too bad they can't figure out some kind of interresort transportation. i can't be the only one who wants to stay at one resort and eat at another during the stay.

If you are at OKW I would suggest taking a cab from OKW to the Boardwalk. It should be less than $20 with tip and well worth the time saved. I once took a cab (in the pouring rain) from the Grand Floridian to SSR for a spa appointment and paid less than $20. It was so worth the money because I arrived relaxed and not frazzled. Often when going between resorts it can take well over an hour by the time you go somewhere and then transfer.

I suppose that I would valet park at the BWV for breakfast, then move the car and go to Epcot. You would have just a short walk to Spoodles.
