Parking at BCV or BWV when not staying there

Dh and I will be at the world in Jan for my conference. I'm not sure where we're staying yet, but it may not be at a DVC since work is covering the bill, and I'd rather not use points if I can stay on their dime. (I guess we'll slum it at WL.;))
I want to keep up my training for the Princess half in Feb. I would love to do the run around the EPCOT resorts a couple of times. Can I park at either BCV or BWV just to go running since I'm a DVC member, or do you have to be staying there? Also, I don't remember if there were showers at the health clubs at either of these resorts. Could I use one of those before heading to my conference rather than trucking back to wherever we are staying?

Thanks. I never thought I would want to run while at WDW with all the walking we already do. It's been fun training though, and I want to keep up.

We always go over to the Boardwalk once during our trip to spend the evening at the Boardwalk, and then hit EPCOT for Illuminations. We have never had a problem getting in to park, we tell the guard we have a reservation at one of the restaurants for dinner. Not sure if the guard would give you a hard time or not - and that is the only scenario I have for you, but we have never been told we could not park at BWV's.

Generally, if you have "legitimate business" at a resort, you are allowed to park there. I would imagine going for a run would count, though the guards take a more careful look at folks arriving around the time one might to go to a theme park for the morning.

But, if you are at WL, there's a very nice path between WL and Ft. Wilderness that might work out for you.

Maybe even showing you are a DVC guest with the sheet might get you in (again, not sure). We always have our DVC reservation with us (we rent a car) and again have never been turned away at a resort.

My wife and I are runners, and I do enjoy running around the boardwalk and down to Hollywood studios and back along the canal makes for a nice run. Hitting the boardwalk at 6 am for a run is the most relaxing part of the day - I love when the sun is up, no one is out, you feel like you have the place to yourself.

When we go To that area for a run, we just park in the "overflow" BWV lot. I'm sure we could talk our way into the regular lots, but it's not worth the hassle. Besides, we are there to run... parking close isn't an issue.

If you are staying at a DVC resort, you should be able to change at the health clubs there.
