Can anyone provide insight on parking at AKL comparing Jambo house and Kidani Village? We can't decide which to stay in and will be renting a car. I understand parking is under the building at Kidani which is nice since the car won't get hot. And sounds like parking is close?

What is it like if we stay at Jambo house?

Jambo is very similiar to Wilderness Lodge in that parking is in the front of the resort, just beyond the porte cochere. And yes, in the summer it can be a long, hot walk to a car that is way too hot to sit in.

Parking at Kidani, as you point out, does runs under the hotel but there isn't enough for the whole resort. However, there are additional rows of exposed parking parallel to the hotel, as well as a large lot between Kindani and Jambo.

I would pick Kindani unless you plan on eating a lot at Jambo.

Thanks! This is our first time driving in wdw so we are a little nervous about it but he last time we went it was when we only had one child and she was a year and my husband was really stressed on the buses. Between him holding the stroller and me trying to wrangle her hoping to find a seat - nevermind the waiting- it just wasn't pleasant with a toddler! No my then one year old is3 and my little one is one so I'm thinking as much as I may prefer wdw transportation the hubby will be more agreeable with a car!

The reason I'm leaning towards jambo house is that we have never been to akl before and we both really enjoy the grandeur of wilderness lobby so hoping we will feel that there.

We always got parking close to an elevator by our room at Kidani. Maybe we were lucky! I like Kidani because it is quieter and feels more special that way to me. But, if you want a grand lobby, Jambo is known for that!

if not using valet, when we have a small child along, always do a drop off at the door w/an adult and take turns parking
