After 18yrs of motherhood finally having a girls weekend with BFF! :cheer2:

Will my Magic Band be activated so I do not have to pay for parking or do I have to check in !st?
It will be one night and we are staying in Cornado Springs. We do not want to waste anytime checking in because BFF will still have to buy her ticket in MK (I have SP).

They don't scan MB at the parking gates but they will likely let you go through with the band and a paper confirmation.

You could check in and have her buy a ticket at the resort concierge---that might be faster than doing it at a TTC ticket window in the morning.

They are not very consistant - at least when I was there in December. Sometime they would see the band and wave us through, sometimes scan it and sometimes want my ID & AP. I had all three of those instance happen at MK alone.

They most certainly CAN scan it at the booth. I've had a mix of waving through and scanning.

One CM asked me what resort I was staying at.... :confused3 I said that I had an annual pass and she waved me through.

Thank You for your replies. Is it really quicker to buy at the resort then at the park? We would like to get in the park before opening.

Sounds like youre coming from close by... Is BFF a FL resident? Cause those FL-priced tickets can't be bought at concierge :(

Is this a new thing? We bought ours at All-Star Sports last February. I was hoping to add a day to this year's ticket at the hotel.

Really? I thought I was told on the boards that you couldn't get the Florida resident discount tickets at the hotels? I'm gonna feel really bad if I was wrong to drag my in-laws all the way out to TTC late night before :/

What if you do an online check-in, don't have an AP and just drive straight to the park and plan on checking in after the park closes. Will we have to pay for parking if we do this?

I can't say for sure - but one time we had a parking ticket print out with the wrong date! When we came back to the park after a nap/break, the gate attendant (obviously) wouldn't believe us and we had to pay again. When we went to guest relations, they refunded our $15. So maybe they can do the same thing at the hotel? i.e. you pay the fee, then get reimbursed when you finally do check in.

((in case anyone is wondering how we got a wrong-dated ticket.... It was the day of the "Monster 24-hour all-nighter". We arrived at the booth for TTC at 5:15am and didn't bother to look at the ticket, just threw it in the window and continued on our way. When we came back we realized the mistake - but we hadn't been at the park the day before! GR lady told us that the parking pass printing machines must not have rolled over the date early in the day. Normally the booths aren't open so early!

Bring your confirmation for the hotel and bring your magic bands. They should allow you through without issue.
