Parking and AP Passes

We are planning to get AP passes on our upcoming trip. I was thinking we would just purchase them when we got there. I know with AP passes that parking is free. How do I avoid paying for parking for that first day??? If I buy the passes ahead of time will I still have to pay for parking since all I will have is a voucher?

Pay for your parking. When you get to a ticket window or Guest Relations Office to purchase the AP give them the parking receipt. They will apply the $14 value of the receipt as a partial payment to the AP. Or if you had ordered the APs in advance, they will refund the parking fee. This is a normal and regular action.

If time allows, and you don't want to worry about the parking fee, you could go buy your AP's at the downtown disney guest relations.

Are you talking about WDW? It must be different then, because at DL it's parking only comes with the Premium AP, I think.
