Anyone have any comments on this hotel. It has pretty good rates and looks to be very close to the action.

The Park Vue is an older two story motel with two sections. The older front part has smaller rooms. It was remodeled slightly in the last year or two with most of the major work on the outside so the appearance was better. It is a basic place and the room we had was dcent and comfortable though noise insulation was minimal and we could hear everyone out in the parkinglot and walking along the walkways. It is in a great location so the walk to the front gates of the parks is 5 minutes or so. Most of the reviews are not very good with some really bad ones. There are many, many better places to stay right nearby.

I just can't get the price that I can get at Park Vue though. This is definately a very budgeted trip...Right now their rates are 65$ for late April. Anything that is still pretty much that close that can beat that prce that anyone knows of....

I don't know what your dates are but Expedia shows the Howard Johnson at $69 for a king room and $79 for two queens. What travels sights have you looked at.

We are thinking about checking in on Sunday the 17th after about an 11 hour drive from Utah and staying 5 nights. We have 2 kids as well so a king won't work and even going up by 10$ a night might hurt us. I want to save some $$$$ for other things. The hotel niceness isn't really an issue as long as it is clean and functionable.

I've looked at Expedia, Anaheim city site, and travelocity

I don't know what is happening that week but everything is a bit high. The only other two places that I have heard okay things about are the two Super 8 motels. Both of them are less expensive than the Park Vue but they are both farther away. The Park Vue is super convenient and the new decore is nice looking. You may want to keep that reservation but check prices at the other places as your vacation time draws near. Sometimes the prices come down.
You can also check out www.getawaytoday.com for packages. I have heard them mentioned numerous times.

I have been to their website and it seems they haven't updated for the next year or something because it won't let me book anything. Thank you for your help.

I just recently asked about DL hotels on several boards as I was trying to decide where to stay for our trip next year. The consensus for this hotel was that it was okay but nothing great and given a choice most people would not stay there again.

Try going to mousesavers.com There is a link to a special discount code for the Howard Johnson's (which is one of her preferred hotels). I put in April 17 for 5 nights and it quoted a rate of $67.15 for two double beds.

Good luck!

We have stayed there and it isn't the cleanest and the customer service is very poor.
One of the kids got sick and they refused to give clean sheets in the middle of the night.
They checked us in and gave us a room key and when we went to check out the room it was occupied. No one was in there but all their stuff was. That was scary.
The shower handle kept coming off and they never came, my nephew figured out how to fix it himself.
You can see the fireworks from the rooms, that and the location is nice. I doubt we ever stay there again.
My sister stayed in September and she said it was even worse. Room carpet had stains and wasn't very clean.
There is also an added enegry charge that we didn't know of at check in.
Staying at hojo's for the first time Dec 3, excited to see if it is as good as it seems to be. I know customer service has already exceeded my expectations.

No way..no how..never again!!! It was one of the most awful hotels I have ever been in. The bed was HARD, the floor had mold/mildew in the bathroom and the curtains were filthy. In general it was absolutely disgusting. I would prefer sleeping anywhere besides there.

The super 8 on Disneyland drive is great! I have stayed there many times! take a right out of the parkinglot, over the bridge and BAM you are at the parking structure. Never stayed at the Park Vue but when i visit hotelkingdom.com it always has the best rates! Good luck!

I just stayed there Nov. 22 - 24th. It was a fabulous location to stay at! Directly across from the walkway to the main gate. The hotel itself was very basic. It did have a microwave and small fridge which we used to store our bottles of water, which was great. Our particular room (267), was comfortable. It was clean and had plenty of towels. We had no problems with any of the staff. My friend forgot her pillow and we went back for it and retrieved it without a problem. For the price, I thought it was a decent place to stay, may not be luxurious, but we only slept there.
